This program is a title is granted to dogs who have been reviewed by a panel of 3 breeders (selected by the club) and a detailed evaluation written up discussing their potential to contribute to the breed, either as the parent of an F1 litter or as part of an ongoing multi-gen program. Evaluations may be in-person at an event, by private arrangement, or by video. Evaluations by video must be standard format and will carry the -r suffix to denote a remote evaluation.
The base title for dogs who have completed a Breed Survey is BS-, followed by the rating. Dogs are rated Excellent (Ex), Good (Gd), Acceptable (Ac), Marginal (M), Needs Improvement (NI), Poor (P). Dogs rated by video will additionally carry the suffix -v. (example format: “Pomsky Fluffy BS-Exv” for a dog who is rated Excellent via a remote evaluation.) Foundation dogs (purebred Siberian Huskies, Pomeranians, American Eskimo Dogs, and German Spitz) will be marked with the core title “FS” (foundation survey) and the same ratings.
The cost for a breed survey is $45. All dogs will receive a detailed critique and certificate suitable for framing. Dogs rating Acceptable or good will receive ribbons; dogs rated Excellent will receive a medallion.
This is the only program currently in operation. In the future, we hope to offer titles at both Pomsky events including agility, rally obedience, and trick dog competitions, and titles available via video submissions.
